HONOURS & AWARDS
Honorary Fellow
The award of Honorary Fellow (HonFSIAD) of SIAD is awarded to individuals who have given substantial and exemplary service to the creative sector or to the Society over many years. Nominations for an Honorary Fellowship to be conferred on an individual must be made by four existing Fellows of SIAD and should be sent to the Chair of SIAD using the link at the bottom of this page. The Chair will put the nomination to the Honours & Awards Committee. An award of an Honorary Fellowship will be made by the Board on the recommendation of the Honours & Awards Committee.
Master Designer™
The distinction of Master Designer™ (MDes) is awarded to individuals who have achieved the highest standing in their professional practice. This may be demonstrated by, for example, achieving a recognised national or international accolade for their work or for a project with which they have been significantly involved. The award is made by the Board on the recommendation of the Honours & Awards Committee and the names of those holding this distinction are inscribed in the Society's Register of Master Designers.
SIAD Medal
The award of a SIAD Medal may be made to an individual, practice, company, institution or organisation in recognition of a sustained, significant contribution to the creative professions. This medal will also carry with it, if awarded to an individual, the award of an Honorary Fellowship (HonFSIAD). The award of a SIAD Medal is made by the Board on the recommendation of the Honours & Awards Committee.
